As a result, we run client training courses to provide more information on our data, from how we create our flood maps to getting the best outputs from our flood models.
Previous training courses have included our ‘JBA Flood Data Methodology Training’ with JBA Consulting, exploring the history of flood, our flood mapping methodology and how JBA can help you better understand your flood risk, as well as bespoke training to clients for their individual needs.

We also run ‘Flood Modelling: From Data to Decision’ training which, in previous years, has included a field trip to Kendal to explore first-hand the impacts of flooding from Storm Desmond. This popular training course allows insurance and reinsurance clients to gain an insight into the entire process of creating a flood model, from input to output, by building their own probabilistic flood model from scratch.
