Flood is a complex physical process and unconstrained by geo-political boundaries, which makes it one of the most significant challenges facing the risk management industry today.

JBA’s Flood Assessment Reports are designed to be used as a preliminary form of flood risk assessment, identifying the potential flood risk for a specified location.

These reports have been designed to be suitable for a range of risk assessments, planning and financial reporting regulations. They allow property and postcode-level risk selection, to assist re/insurers, property search companies and brokers and other sectors in evaluating flood hazard.  

Our reports are used in relation to Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) requirements and Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) reporting. We have successfully helped clients across the globe understand their current and future flood risk in countries such as the UK, US, Australia, New Zealand and Chile.

Our team of specialist hydrologists and hydraulic modellers have applied peer-reviewed methodologies and the latest scientific data to explicitly address the hydrological and hydraulic mechanisms that drive each flood type to create our flood maps for multiple return periods.

Our flood assessment reports also utilise JBA’s global database of flood defence information and our cutting-edge climate change data which allow the potential future risk from climate change to be quantified.
