Helen joined JBA Risk Management in 2007 and is one of our Directors. She has over 15 years of experience in hydrological and hydraulic modelling. Helen worked on JBA’s first national (UK) flood map development project in 2008 before becoming part of the team to map river flood hazard across Europe – a first in terms of scale and level of detail.
She then led the development of the world’s first global flood maps, released to clients in 2014, and continued to be responsible for spearheading innovative and scientifically robust methodologies to keep JBA’s global flood maps at the forefront of flood risk innovation. Helen now leads our programme of work around non-flood perils.
