Senior Analyst, Client Services

Assessing flood and climate risk is complex. Understanding flood and climate risk is hard. Our growing client base needs help in ensuring they address these challenges effectively through knowledgeable use of our products.

Your role

The nature of the role is highly varied since it involves serving clients across multiple industries and multiple products. The purpose is common across the varied work: enable our clients to make full use of our flood and climate risk hazard maps, catastrophe models, analytics and services to gain insight and take decisions.

As a senior analyst in the Client Services team, you will work regularly with clients to provide them the support and training they need to use our products effectively over time. Time will be given for you to develop product and market knowledge in order to provide these services to our client base, including global and regional re/insurers and brokers; investors; lenders; and property search companies.

You will work with a wider team to provide the technical product support our clients require through their daily use of our products – troubleshooting issues independently where possible, supported by a team of specialists, and communicating resolutions with clarity and confidence.

Alongside colleagues you will meet with key clients on a routine basis, ensuring they are well supported through flood events, kept informed of our product developments, and help adopt product updates smoothly.

The team member we’re looking for

Working in the Client Services team at JBA Risk Management means using your passion to serve our clients. You must possess and enjoy using the skills that underpin successful service, and so be able to communicate (verbal and written) effectively, listen actively, collaborate positively with clients and colleagues, and advise and educate with clarity.

Our analysts thrive in a role that brings something different every day – we cannot always plan what our day will look like, but we enjoy the challenges our clients and their needs bring as we react to them. You will develop the ability to speak with them knowledgeably about flood and climate hazard, and to understand the context and impact of their needs and requests.

You should hold a BSc or equivalent in a scientific or numerate discipline, or have the equivalent industry experience.
