So stripping out is now complete. Best to simply show some before and after pictures. In fact very few of these are properly before. Who takes pictures of their house without reason? Not us, anyway. But here is one I took at Christmas in 2012 and the after shot:

The bathroom is just after and after; but just after it was hard to see much astray – but wet wood tiles and plaster work behind the tiles; and the underfloor heating obviously wrecked. My Mum was particularly proud of her bathroom.

Meanwhile work is happening down on the Kent. The EA has put up the sign below but the locals who used to live along the river and can no longer do so think this is more mismanagement than management.
Dredging work is underway and it looks like there’s quite a lot to take out:
My parents are wondering why this couldn’t have been taken out before the flooding happened. It’s quite impressive but doesn’t deal with the Stock Beck problem.
